DOUBLE SWITCH!

Årlen Specter, Republican Senator from Pennsylvania, shocked leaders of his party when he announced that he was switching to become a Democrat.

Michael Steele, Chairman of the Republican National Committee and Rush Limbaugh, self-ordained leader of the Republican party, responded immediately with a snarling attack on Arlen.

That constituted an even more remarkable switch.  This time the rats stayed with a sinking ship.

Who gained fame as a rino defector

With political guile

He crossed over the aisle

And saved his southernmost sector.
